On the morning of January 15, 2022, an unexpected report brought both shock and concern to our team. A compassionate woman on her way to work stumbled upon a frail dog that had seemingly been abandoned for some time.

Unable to stand or respond to her gestures, the dog was clearly in distress.

Although she couldn’t take the dog with her to work, the woman didn’t turn a blind eye. She took photos and a brief video, capturing the heart-wrenching scene, and sent them to our team.

With a heavy heart, she left the dog covered with a blanket for warmth. As she departed, the dog wagged its tail, almost pleading for her company.

Prompted by the urgency of the situation, we rushed to the scene. Upon arrival, it was evident that the dog was suffering from severe dehydration and pain.

A blood test revealed that a transfusion was urgently needed due to its inability to eat or drink properly. Remarkably, within just a few days, the dog began to show signs of improvement, gaining 4 pounds.

However, standing and walking unaided remained a challenge. About a week later, the dog, whom we named Dega, started eating well.

By the end of three weeks, Dega’s legs had grown stronger, although he was still quite thin and unable to run normally.

Fast forward three months from that pivotal day, Dega has undergone an incredible transformation. Her weight has increased, and she can now walk with ease, much to our delight.

Dega’s journey took a joyful turn when a generous young woman chose to adopt her, ensuring a future abundant in love and companionship, free from the shadows of solitude and fear.
