When a request for assistance came in, it was about a puppy in urgent need of help. His makeshift home was a battered cardboard box, with some old clothes inside to offer him some warmth.

It appeared that someone had abandoned him intentionally. His surroundings were filthy, and he had been surviving on scraps of garbage. However, when he spotted me, he eagerly approached. I couldn’t help but notice his belly was abnormally swollen.

During the journey to the veterinary clinic, the puppy remained quiet, likely uncertain about what was coming. The vets carried out all necessary examinations, and he whimpered frequently due to a stomachache.

The harsh conditions he had endured had left his eyes infected and sore. Not wanting to miss anything that could help, the veterinarians decided it was best to admit him to the hospital for further care.

Remarkably, the little pup’s appetite was still intact. He devoured the soft food I gave him, likely the best meal he had had in a while. After eating, he drifted into a comfortable sleep, clearly content.

His stomach was filled with worms and remnants of the garbage he had been consuming, and the medical team worked hard to clear it all without resorting to surgery.

Luckily, their efforts paid off, but he still experienced some discomfort in his belly. The doctor reassured me, though, that he would soon be on the mend.

At only two months old, Bublik quickly adjusted to his new life. His new family showered him with love and attention. For the first time, he had toys of his own to play with—especially a little ball that seemed to delight him endlessly.

The affection from his new family transformed him. They even began teaching him simple tricks, amazed by how quickly he learned and responded after just a few tries.

The love and care he received fortified Bublik, helping him triumph over his tough start in life. Before long, he was fully recovered, with his eyes healed and his lively spirit shining through.
