When rescuers from Star Rescue Network, RSA India, received a call about a street puppy in desperate need, they had no idea just how severe her condition was. The tiny pup, later named Rahi, had a massive lump on her belly—so large that she couldn’t even lie down comfortably.

Rahi was completely alone on the streets, with no one to care for her. Despite her fragile condition, she showed no fear. She was young, brave, and filled with a will to survive.

The size of her swollen belly was deeply concerning—so large and distended that, at first glance, it seemed she might be suffering from an enormous tumor. They successfully repaired the hernia—a delicate procedure that required close attention to avoid further complications. During the operation, they also took the opportunity to extract two loose teeth, which, if left untreated, could have led to pain or infection in the future. It was a meticulous and thoughtful effort to give her the best possible chance at a healthy, pain-free life.

Once the surgery was complete, Rahi was stitched up and placed under close supervision at the shelter, where staff ensured she had everything she needed to recover.
