In Lahore’s Chadara town, a dog was spotted by residents who initially thought she was pregnant. However, upon seeing footage of the dog, veterinarians quickly realized that her swollen abdomen was not due to pregnancy.
Instead, they suspected a serious health issue, possibly linked to liver or kidney failure, prompting the urgent need for rescue and medical care.
The dog’s condition was dire, causing her immense pain and increasing lethargy. Upon her arrival at the clinic, the medical team conducted x-rays, blood tests, and fluid analyses to confirm their suspicions.

As the test results were awaited, the veterinarians began the critical task of draining the fluid that had accumulated in her abdomen.
Remarkably, about 10 liters of fluid were removed, which immediately alleviated her discomfort. Previously hidden beneath the swelling, her bones became visible, highlighting the extent of her suffering.
Yet, once the fluid was drained, the dog appeared more relaxed and was even able to rest peacefully for the first time in months.
