In Thailand’s Phetchabun Province, a homeless dog burdened by a large tumor struggled to move, clearly in distress.

Her condition had been deteriorating for so long that it seemed no one was willing to help, especially when the tumor grew excessively large.

Determined to offer her relief, rescuers undertook a lengthy journey, traveling nearly 456 kilometers to bring her to Pattaya for medical care

Upon examination, veterinarians found that in addition to the massive growth on her abdomen, there were smaller tumors on her leg, posing additional challenges for her treatment.

Living on the streets without access to proper nutrition or shelter had taken a toll on her already difficult life. At the veterinary clinic, her discomfort was visible, though she managed to eat a considerable meal, highlighting her perseverance.

The veterinarians made a critical decision: to save her life, her leg would need to be amputated, allowing for the removal of the malignant tumors in her body.

Remarkably, a month after this complex surgery, the dog’s condition improved significantly. Despite having only three legs, she is beginning to walk again, showing remarkable resilience and adaptability.

Looking ahead to a brighter future, plans are in place to return her to Phetchabun Province, where a caring family will adopt her. There, she will receive the love and care she needs, ensuring the rest of her life is spent in comfort and happiness.
