In Ukraine, a young girl named Xenia reached out to a local animal shelter through a Facebook message with a concerning account.
She reported that two dogs had been left tethered and abandoned near her home after the owner departed for a month. Xenia noted the distressing condition of the animals, saying she could smell something rotten coming from the property.
Initially, Xenia faced skepticism and ridicule for her post, prompting her to delete it. However, her message had already reached the local shelter staff, who were deeply moved by the harrowing images she shared.
Determined to help, the rescue team decided to locate and save the unfortunate even though they initially had no address or contact information to go on.After nearly three hours of searching and asking around, the rescue team finally arrived at the house. What they found was heart-wrenching.
A foul odor greeted them, and tragically, one of the dogs had not survived. They managed to save the other dog, a Labrador who was in poor health and very weak from hunger.

The rescue team named the surviving dog Boss. Despite his ordeal, Boss showed remarkable resilience — he had a hearty appetite and was incredibly responsive to care.
After receiving a blood transfusion at the veterinary clinic, Boss was nurtured back to health.
Over time, Boss thrived and was placed in a temporary home while waiting for a permanent family. His luck turned when a loving family from Kiev chose to adopt him, marking the beginning of a new and joyful chapter in his life.
