Rescued Dog Battles Ear Tumor, Fights for a Joyful Future Against All Odds
A neighbor called me in distress, saying that the dog living next door needed urgent help. After not seeing her for many years, I was surprised she remembered me.
When we arrived, we were greeted by Gina, the dog. She looked frail and her eyes seemed to plead for rescue. Gina was exhausted and in pain, suffering so much that she couldn’t even open her mouth due to her aching ears.

The dog now had a new name. After taking her for an MRI scan, doctors discovered a tumor in her middle ear, along with living conditions that likely contributed to her developing cancer.
“My heart is breaking into a thousand pieces,” I thought as the veterinarians worked out a treatment plan. I often wondered if Gina still had love for humans after all she had been through.
Following a biopsy, it was confirmed that her tumor was malignant and unresponsive to treatment, as it had already spread.
“She had lost a kilogram since I last saw her, but I was determined to do whatever it took to save her,” I resolved. Gina was scheduled for surgery in a few days.

Gina began undergoing chemotherapy every three weeks. Gradually, she gained weight and her overall health improved.
“Four months later, Gina is still with me, which feels nothing short of a miracle,” I shared. “I want her to experience as much joy and happiness as possible. Though I am uncertain about what the future holds, we cherish every moment together.”

There’s hope that one day, Gina will be a healthy and happy dog, enjoying long and joyful days. Let’s look forward to that day.
