Meet Valentino, a dog who was found abandoned in a dire state on the streets of Maracaibo. Left in a corner to succumb to his fate, he was infested with millions of giant ticks, a sight that left witnesses disturbed.

Valentino’s fortune changed when the team from MANADA GLOBAL PETS TRAVEL discovered him and quickly transported him to their veterinary clinic.

His initial condition was grave; he appeared very sick, his mucous membranes were noticeably pale, and the sheer number of ticks on his body was alarming.

Now under the care of the clinic, Valentino is on a long road to recovery. His health needs significant improvement before he can enjoy a more comfortable life. Currently, he tires easily, becoming disoriented and exhausted after even short walks.

“Watching his gradual recovery brings us immense joy,” says Alicia Jiméne, a member of the rescue team. However, she expressed frustration and helplessness over the cruelty Valentino suffered, adding,

“It pains us to know he was abandoned to die like that.”

A week after his rescue, Valentino began showing signs of trust and healing. As Alicia notes, “He quietly settled next to my husband, @juls aleman, seeking affection. Relaxing, he eventually laid down under him.”

The horrific treatment Valentino endured is heart-wrenching, and there is a strong call for justice to be served against those responsible for his abandonment and suffering.
