While out for a walk in the woods with our rescue dog, we were startled by the sound of cries coming from nearby bushes. Guided by our dogs, who seemed to sense something was wrong, we discovered an animal that desperately needed our help.
The scene we encountered was heartbreaking. We found a small dog, shivering and unable to walk, clearly trying to protect itself. We later named her Hope.
Her past was filled with hardship, having been used solely for breeding and then abandoned when she was no longer deemed useful due to illness. Left alone and starving, her condition was dire.

Hope’s body told a story of neglect and pain, with wounds covering her fragile form and her skin raw and inflamed. We immediately took her to the veterinarian for an urgent examination.
Tests revealed that her spine was crooked, likely a result of spending much of her life confined in a tiny cage, which made her cautious and distant.
Further medical examinations uncovered a large hernia and a broken pelvis, which explained her inability to walk. Our primary concern was to determine if she would be permanently paralyzed.

At the veterinary clinic, Hope received life-saving care and close monitoring as she began her recovery journey.
After four days of intensive care, Hope had improved enough to go home with Krista, a dedicated volunteer who took on the responsibility of managing her medications and supplements.
We offered Hope reassurance, letting her know she was now safe and loved, marking the end of her suffering.

A month later, the veterinarians were impressed with Hope’s progress. She was strong enough to undergo surgery to repair her hernia and was also spayed during the procedure.
As she healed, Hope started enjoying human company, forming new bonds, and becoming more outgoing.
Nearly three months into her recovery, Hope was fully healed and found her forever home with a family in Metha. Watching Hope happy and thriving brought immense joy to everyone involved in her rescue and rehabilitation.
