Emaciated Dogs Found Near University Spark Outcry and Urgent Call for Animal Welfare Reform
In a recent heart-wrenching incident that has stirred dog lovers everywhere, two severely neglected dogs were discovered near a university in Ciudad Real, Spain.
These poor animals were found in such a malnourished state that they appeared to be little more than skin and bones.
The distressing condition of the dogs led to their immediate rescue and transfer to a local animal protection center.

Upon arrival, the staff noticed their fur was sparse and nearly nonexistent, revealing their pinkish skin, which suggested they had been kept away from sunlight.
Once at the center, the dogs were given the names Raiz (Roots) and Tierra (Earth). Carme Díaz, a dedicated volunteer at the facility, described their situation as dire.

“They are completely emaciated and have been suffering from hunger for weeks and months. This is the most terrible case I have seen in over 35 years of work,” Díaz shared.
This tragic discovery serves as a stark reminder of the pressing need for increased awareness and stricter measures to combat animal cruelty and neglect.
