Resilient Street Puppy Raahi Triumphs Over Adversity with Life-Saving Surgery
Raahi, a small and courageous street puppy, captured the hearts of many when she was discovered with an enormous mass on her belly.
With no one to care for her, Raahi found herself all alone on the streets until Star Network Rescue’s RRSA India responded to a call about her condition.
Her situation seemed dire, as Raahi couldn’t lie down comfortably because of the size of the mass, which was initially suspected to be a giant tumor.

Veterinarians, however, identified it as a significant inguinal hernia after a thorough examination. Despite her small size, surgery was deemed necessary by the veterinary team to give Raahi a better chance at life.
Undergoing sedation for the procedure, Raahi’s surgery not only addressed the hernia but also included the removal of two loose teeth.
With the surgery completed successfully, Raahi, now in the caring hands of dedicated shelter staff, needed to rest and recover in a nurturing environment.

In the days immediately following the operation, Raahi was understandably weak. However, her resilient spirit shone through, and soon enough, she began to regain her vitality.
The shelter staff observed a remarkable improvement; Raahi was noticeably more at ease without the cumbersome mass, especially when lying down.

As Raahi’s recovery unfolded, her transformation was evident. She emerged from the experience as a lively and joyful dog, radiating happiness and newfound enthusiasm.
Her journey from a troubled past to a promising future was a testament to her resilience and the compassionate intervention of those who came to her aid.
