Tiny Temple Pup Triumphs Over Tragedy: Willow’s Fight for Survival and a Brighter Future
Two tiny puppies were found abandoned at a local temple. The black puppy was frail and clinging to life, while its sibling instinctively laid on top, offering comfort with its presence.
Sadly, despite efforts to save both puppies, the black one didn’t survive. Rescuers faced a difficult decision to alleviate its suffering.
The surviving pup, a white-haired female named Willow, began receiving treatment for various ailments, including skin conditions. At just three months old, she was a lightweight at 1.4 kg and approximately the height of a wine bottle.

Willow’s challenges were just beginning. Fungal and bacterial infections had already taken a toll, but things worsened a week later when she lost feeling in her front legs.
A seizure had her trembling in pain, her survival hanging by the thinnest thread of hope and desperate prayers.
A woman who found the puppies recalled, “The day Willow couldn’t stand, I rushed her to the nearest veterinarian. Her condition was dire, with a weak pulse, low body temperature, and limbs cold to the touch.”
She continued, “Watching Willow convulse on the heat pad was heartbreaking. As the veterinarian and I discussed her bleak prognosis, I could feel her pain deeply.”

The medical team considered euthanasia to end the suffering, but the rescuer’s last-minute change of heart turned out to be pivotal. After a dose of effective anti-seizure medication, an unexpected turn of events unfolded.
Willow woke up the next morning, appetite restored, enjoying organic bone broth and royal jelly. Remarkably, her legs were functioning
Two and a half weeks have passed since Willow’s rescue, and she has shown significant improvement. Her battle with ailments like scabies and malnutrition is nearing victory, and she’s nearly ready for a new home.
These days, Willow delights in simple pleasures, such as lounging under the sun and enjoying gentle belly rubs.
