While on a walk in Phoenix, Arizona, Andi Davis came across a distressing sight: a young Pit Bull, about two years old, was struggling to stay alive on a rock, suffering from numerous gunshot wounds.

The dog was bleeding profusely, and Andi noticed his breathing was shallow.

Seeing his critical condition, Andi acted quickly. She tried to offer him some water, but realizing he needed urgent help, she carried the 47-pound dog down the hills, rushing to get him to safety.

For an hour, she trekked, determined to save the injured animal.

Andi brought the Pit Bull to the Arizona Humane Society, where veterinarians worked promptly to address his injuries. They treated an open wound in his abdomen and removed bullet fragments lodged in his neck and spine.

Throughout his treatment, Andi stayed by the dog’s side, encouraging him to fight for his life.

Thanks to Andi’s courageous efforts, the Pit Bull survived his ordeal. She decided to name him Elijah and gave him a new home, where he quickly recovered, surrounded by love and care.
