A touching moment illustrating this connection was witnessed by an Indian man who encountered a puppy unwilling to leave his deceased mother’s side.

The bond between the two animals struck a chord with many, yet onlookers hesitated to intervene, uncertain about how to approach the grieving puppy.

Among them was Somi Gopalan, who had previously seen a poignant image on Facebook of a puppy resting beside his mother’s lifeless body. Although initially unaware of their location, he was determined to help.

According to The Voice of Stray Dogs (VoSD), the two dogs had been at the location for a week. While it took some time for Somi to locate the pair, VoSD was unable to reach them during this period.

Once on the scene, Somi carefully buried the mother and faced the challenge of coaxing the puppy to leave, as the young dog clung desperately to his mother.

The mother’s body, alas, had been decomposing for several days, adding to the sadness of the situation. Stirring great emotion, images of the puppy cuddling its deceased mother have gained widespread attention on social media.

Regrettably, some individuals have exploited these images to solicit donations, highlighting a darker side of this viral phenomenon.

It is crucial to remain vigilant against those who might seek personal gain from such heart-wrenching images. Thankfully, the puppy has since been rescued and given a chance for a loving life, securing the happy ending many hoped for.
