Svetlana Ostabekova, a passionate advocate for animal welfare, recently received a distressing call about a dog in need. As she made her way through a rural area, she noticed the dog from afar.

When Svetlana drew closer, she identified the dog as Bunny, an elderly and vulnerable canine abandoned by his owner simply due to his age. Bunny lay motionless, taking shelter among a few tiles and rocks after being left on his own.

The frail dog was infested with flies and other bugs, unable to fend them off due to his weakness. His eyes, filled with sorrow, remained unresponsive to the presence of those who approached him

Despite his painful wounds, Bunny appeared to have accepted his unfortunate situation, barely keeping his eyes open. Deeply moved by his condition, Svetlana quickly transported him to a veterinary hospital.

Carefully, Svetlana placed Bunny on a soft blanket in her vehicle. Although showing no signs of alertness, she felt relieved upon checking that he was still breathing.

Upon arriving at the hospital, Bunny gradually began to regain consciousness in the comforting environment. It was revealed that he had suffered from multiple injuries, swelling in his legs, and impaired vision.

Veterinary specialists attended to Bunny’s injuries to ease his discomfort. As his senses returned, he began to eat heartily after enduring days of starvation.

Svetlana felt a wave of relief watching Bunny enjoy his food with enthusiasm.

Although he still faced severe health challenges, including necrosis and damage to his limbs and vital organs, his ability to survive under such harsh conditions was truly remarkable.

Contemplating Bunny’s ordeal stirred a mix of emotions in Svetlana. Despite heartache over what he had endured, Bunny’s recovery filled her with hope.

Remarkably, he began to stand and walk sooner than expected, guided by the love and care Svetlana provided.

Though still delicate, Bunny expressed his gratitude to Svetlana with his gentle eyes. The road to full recovery would be lengthy and demanding, but with unwavering support from Svetlana and others, there was confidence that Bunny would prevail.
