While on a walk through the woods with our rescue dog, we were startled by cries coming from the bushes. Our dogs, sensing something was wrong, led us to the source—a small dog desperately in need of help.

The sight was heartbreaking. Unable to walk and trembling with fear, this poor dog, whom we later named Hope, had clearly been through a lot.

She had spent her life being exploited for breeding and was abandoned when she became sick and useless for those purposes. Left helpless and hungry, she was on the brink of death.

Hope’s fragile body was covered in painful sores, and her skin was raw and inflamed. We quickly took her to the veterinarian for a thorough examination.

Tests showed that Hope’s spine was misaligned, likely from being confined in a small cage for long periods. This explained her cautious and withdrawn demeanor.
