Rescue Mission Saves Dog’s Life, Transforms Her Into Joyful Sanctuary Resident
Pauline, a distressed dog found roaming the streets, was in urgent need of help due to her severely swollen face.
The team from Animal Aid Unlimited discovered her in a desperate state of pain and confusion, which made her wary of their approach.
Recognizing the gravity of the situation, the rescuers gently wrapped Pauline in a blanket to safely transfer her to their vehicle and get her to a veterinary hospital.

At the hospital, Pauline was understandably scared, but the veterinarian quickly sedated her for an examination. It was clear the swelling was being caused by a significant infestation of maggots inhabiting an open sore on her throat.
The medical team promptly administered medicine to eradicate the maggots and meticulously cleaned the wound, a vital step towards her recovery. With the immediate danger removed, they were hopeful for Pauline’s healing process.
Remarkably, within just three days, the swelling had significantly reduced. After a few weeks of proper care, Pauline transformed into a spirited and joyful resident at the sanctuary.
The determination and compassion shown by the rescue team and veterinarians significantly contributed to her miraculous recovery.
